This is a great, casual bbq restaurant. We ate here twice during our stay and had great food both times. First time we ate at the restaurant after a long day of hiking. Second time we ordered out. This worked out great because when my husband went to pick it up the wait was quite long. Many people said to him as he was leaving with our meal that they should have done the same thing.

I wanted Western BBQ, and I found it in Jackson. Delicious chicken, ribs, and a great salad bar are found here. Considering the prices of the other Jackson restaurants, this place is a find about 1/2 mile from downtown.

Ate here on May 9th. I remember reading about this place on Tripadvisor, so when I spotted it (at 515 Broadway, next to the Wendy's and Ace hardware) I decided to try it. I was not disappointed. I tried the combo plate (pulled pork, ribs, brisket, chicken) and was challenged to finish it by thye waitress. I did, and it was a HUGE portion! It was delicious, and probably one of the best meals I had during this entire vacation. Price was not bad (about $17) for the platter. This place is famous with the locals, and also (from waht I heard) serves a great breakfast. You wont go wrong here. A week before I ate at Bubas I was eating southern BBQ in Southh carolina, and Bubbas is right up ther in comparison. The pulled pork was excellent, and the ribs moist and juicy. 

Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Just ate there with wife and two kids. BBQ was EXCELLENT.
The waiter, SIG, was outstanding and gave us all the info on what or what not to get. When we got there there was a big line but it moved quickly. Don't be discouraged by lots of people outside, the wait is worth it. The service was great and the food is on the table before you know it. Order the beef,pork chicken combo.. excellent.

We decided to try out Bubba's after a local reconmended it and it was excellent. We had chicken, turkey, and all the traditional BBQ sides. The salad bar was unbelievably fresh and had a great variety. My son said the fries pwn (which means they are really good) and my daughter the people there were nice. Loved the three bbq sauce options. Super busy and we had to wait about 30 minutes but it was worth it!
